Each February over Presidents Day Weekend, NOGLSTP holds its Annual Members Business Meeting and a Reception at the AAAS Annual Meeting. This year, the AAAS Annual Meeting is in Washington DC, February 11-15, 2016.

The NOGLSTP Annual Members Business Meeting is Sunday, February 14, 9:30-11:30 am.
This our annual business meeting, at which the year is reviewed, plans and resolutions are made, and members participate in our organizational governance. This is an in-person meeting or a conference call for all NOGLSTP members.
Location: Omni Shoreham Hotel (Chairman’s Boardroom), Washington DC. To participate by conference call, please contact the NOGLSTP Office by 2/13/2016 for dial-in information. AAAS Meeting registration is NOT REQUIRED to participate in this meeting.

Connect and network with LGBTQ+ STEM professionals and students. Meet the movers and shakers of NOGLSTP, an AAAS affiliate and professional society that educates and advocates for LGBTQ+ people in science, technology, engineering, and math. Open to AAAS meeting registrants, and all local NOGLSTP members and guests.

Career Workshop: Bringing Your Whole LGBTQIQ Self to Work and School
Saturday, February 13, 9:15 -10:15 a.m., Marriott Wardman Park

This workshop presents a roundtable discussion on being open as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or questioning (LGBTQIQ) on campuses and in STEM workplaces. How do LGBTQIQ equality laws in U.S. states and internationally affect your career choices? Which STEM sectors value LGBTQIQ employees? How can you help improve your campus and professional environ-ments? What mentoring resources, employee resource groups, and networking opportunities exist for LGBTQIQ people in STEM careers? Join this workshop for answers to these questions and more. Open to AAAS meeting registrants only.
